The best time of year is spring or fall. Here in Colorado, that would be between April and June or September and November. During these months, plants will take less of a shock when being planted and the turf will require less water than usual.
We suggest that landscaping maintenance occur in the spring or fall. Maintenance task like trimming bushes, grass and trees are best at these times since plants are in a dormant state. The summer when you should actively prevent weed growth and support a healthy lawn with fertilizers.
You don't want to prune plant material more than once a year, generally after November or before the end of March.
It's best to water your lawn less frequently, such as 3-4 days per week. To do this in a hot and dry climate, you will need to do a soil test to see how quickly the water runs off or puddles. Depending on how much water your sprinklers release, you'll want to water your lawn until the water runs or puddles. This may take 30 minutes per zone.
We recommend blowing out your sprinkler system by November 1 to prevent it from freezing.
We can usually complete the entire project in one week. If there is a paver patio as part of the job, it may take an additional three days.
Most of the lawns in Colorado have cool-season grasses. These cool-season grasses include rye grass, blue grasses, and fescue.

Xeriscaping is a smart landscaping choice for areas prone to drought or for those who prioritize water conservation. The term comes from the Greek word "xeros," meaning "dry," and it essentially refers to a dry landscape. Xeriscaping is a gardening method that thrives with minimal water. While it's ideal for hot and arid climates, it's also beneficial in various regions where conserving water is important. Modern xeriscaping incorporates the same beautiful design principles as traditional gardening.

Pets are the loves of our lives, but lets face facts they can be hard on our outdoor spaces from digging to creating "paths" where we should have a beautiful green lawn.
The key to a great landscape design is that we take into consideration our four-legged friends. We can create areas that allow them some freedom, but they don't have the run of the yard so you each can enjoy your outdoor space alone or together.
A key factor is having our plant experts create a design that only includes safe plant selections. Those that are non-toxic for our pets.
If your pets are a concern, please express this to our design team. We want to give everyone a fair shake! Landscaping Design
