How often will you visit my property? Do I have a regular visitation day?
You would have a regular day so you can always count on our team to maintain everything on a regular basis and you will soon get us down to where we show up at nearly the same time on your scheduled day. If there are rain delays we will get out there the next day.
What is the best time of year for landscape installation?
The best time of year for landscape installation is spring or fall, in Colorado that would be between April-June, or September-November because plants will take less of a shock when being planted and the turf will require less water then normal.
What is the difference between annual and perennial?
An Annual will die off each year in our climate and a perennial will come back every spring and live on for many years if cared for properly.
Why do I need an irrigation system?
An irrigation system is one of the best investments for your property, it puts a critical element of your landscape maintenance on auto pilot and allows you to water at the most appropriate times of day or night to decrease water consumption and maximize efficiency. We can even hook up fertilization tanks onto your irrigation system making that Automatic as well.
When are certain landscape maintenance job functions performed?
Many of the maintenance job functions are performed in the spring or fall such as trimming bushes, grasses, and trees as they are in a dormant state. The summer is also a great time to be actively preventing weed growth and supporting a healthy lawn with fertilizers.
How often do you prune plant material?
You don't want to prune plant material more then 1 time per year, generally after November and before the end of March.
What is hardscaping?
Hardscaping is basically all elements that can be added to a landscape that are built of or consist of stone or brick material such as a rock mulch bed, or paver patio, walkway, or a wooden pergola.
How often should I water my lawn?
It is best to water less frequent such as 3 or 4 days per week. In order to do this in a hot and dry climate you will need to do a soil test to see how quickly the water runs off or puddles up. Depending on how much water your sprinklers are putting out, you want to water until the water begins to run off or puddle. This may take 30 min. per zone.
When should I blow out my sprinklers?
We recommend blowing out your sprinkler system by November 1st to avoid it from freezing.
How long does it take to install a whole landscape?
We can generally complete the entire project in one week, if there are some paver patios going in it may take an additional 3 days.
How much does it cost to put in a water feature?
We can construct a basic water feature near a power source for as little as $3,500, and be a pond less feature resulting in little to no maintenance.
Is metal edging safe in the landscape?
There is a newly designed metal edging that has a rolled top to it that is very safe if installed correctly. It can become dangerous if the lawnmower hits it and leaves a sharp edge sticking up.
